On Episode 53 our guest is one of our favorites, Bethesda’s Pete Hines. Pete stopped by to talk about the success of Fallout 3 DLC and GoTY, Uncharted, Brink, the id Software deal and how it benefits both companies, making the marketing match up with the title and timing in the marketplace, and teased us with Fallout Vegas. In addition to the interview, the “boys” discuss Borderlands, men’s restroom stories, monthly game fees, Modern Warfare 2, and trading in games. The podcast crew also included a special Halloween segment.

Episode 52’s guest is Adrenaline Vault founder Angel Munoz. Angel dropped in to help the guys celebrate a year’s worth of shows, and discuss his involvement in the soon to launch Online Combat Arena (OCA) and his advisory contribution for the Puerto Rico Association of Gamers (PRAG). This week the guys relive some of the Podcast’s best moments, the history of Avault, how the Podcast came about, and what’s in store for both the Avault Podcast and Avault in the future. The crew also thoroughly explores Borderlands.

On Episode 51 our guest is Rusty Williams, of Flying Lab Games, and once again Patrick Watts (the unsung fourth man) picks up the slack for Chris. Rusty came in to reveal the latest details about their MMO Pirates of the Burning Sea. On Episode 50 our guest is Jeff Lujan, of True Interactive Games, and Patrick Watts fills in for Chris. Jeff dropped by to share his position on the free-to-play with micro-transactions system vs. the traditional retail release of games, and their "Flagship" title Mytheon. In addition to the interview, the guys explore roller derby, falling asleep while gaming, Borderlands, Need for Speed: Shift, and the upcoming release of Uncharted 2.

Happy Birthday Dreamcast! Episode 46’s guest, is Chris Taylor, CEO of Gas Powered Games. Chris stopped by and shared some knowledge about the future of Supreme Commander 2, Square Enix, and working with the Japanese. In addition to the interview, this week’s conversation explores, Guitar Hero 5 vs.The Beatles: Rock Band, Batman Arkham Asylum, and All Aspect Warfare vs. Battlefield 1943.

In Episode 45 Nathan Fouts, from Mommy’s Best Games, returns to the show. Nathan came on to talk about Xbox Community Games and his first paycheck, his faith in Microsoft, and some of his plans for the future. This week the conversation also includes an OmegaBob rant that you will not want to miss. Additionally, the crew discusses Wii Sports Resort, The Force Unleashed, Batman: Arkham Asylum and The Beatles Rock Band. This is also the week of announcements. Not only has Turks partitioned his iMac to run XP and play Steam games, but throughout the show you will glean details about our new giveaway.

Episode 44, is finally here, and with it the announcement of our SteelSeries Siberia Neckband winners. Before the announcement, however, Mikey Neumann stopped by from Gearbox Software to talk about their upcoming title Borderlands, and even though he had to briefly leave to attend to a video game emergency, he is still at his funniest throughout the show. This week’s conversation also includes discussions of Chris leaving the dark side and buying a PC, Wii Motion Plus, Wii Sports Resort, and OmegaBob’s possible speech impediment. Episode 43, kicks it old school with just Billy, Chris and Turks bringing you the latest on all that is this week in games. During this week’s conversation the guys explore Madden 10 and the SI giveaway, high school sports, War Rock, Quake Live (stay tuned for info on a future community game night), and Chris asks the listeners for advice on his next system purchase.

In Episode 42, Jonenee & Joseph stop by from GamersFirst.com, and after trying to appease Billy after his five hour download experience (make sure the site you are downloading from is actually operational when you try it), shared the reasoning behind free full-sized downloadable games and added fuel to the PC vs. Mac fire. In addition to the interview the guys explore using the Wii as a potty training tool, Madden 10, Gran Turismo 5, and Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta.

Episode 41, brings in Avault’s youngest podcast guest, Evan Miller, the developer of Hunted Forever. Evan shares his experiences of how he broke into the industry when unable to find other work ($16K not a bad haul) while still in college, and discusses those guilty pleasures we all hide - flash games. He also proved that the guests really do listen to the show. In addition to the interview the guys explore Battlefield 1943, Braid, Fallout 3: Mothership Zeta, fishing, Canadians and Modern Warfare 2.

In Episode 40, Patrick Watts assumes the role of Billy, and this week’s guest is Mike Wilson from Devolver Digital. Mike candidly shares his history and perspective on how the industry has evolved from the long gone days of a bunch of dudes in their underwear to the executive suites of the corporate world. While the guys were required to edit out some of the details about his latest project, there should be enough clues left in to give you a pretty good idea. In addition to the interview the guys explore this week’s giveaway, Killing Floor, 1943 Battlefield, Patrick’s mug shot, WoW, Splosion Man, and the new Xbox Live beta.

Episode 39 includes a conversation with Tom Mustaine from Escalation Studios. Tom came back on the show to discuss his new game, Doom Resurrection, and how they adapted it to the iPhone platform. Is $9.99 too much to pay for something at the App Store? In addition to the interview the guys explore summertime beverages, Battlefield (not bad for fifteen bucks), Ghost Recon, Left 4 Dead, and Dragon Ball Z… (the full name defies pronunciation).

Episode 38 explores casual vs. hardcore gaming, and Robert Norton from King.com came over to talk about their latest forays into the casual gaming market. King.com is a pay-for-play casual gaming site that just announced the release of games for both the iPhone and Facebook, and Robert wanted to make sure that we all knew that their games are all about community. In addition to the interview the crew explores EA Active vs. Wii Fit (the debate continues when Chris pays attention), Scruzzleword, Top Gun, Battlefield 1943, and Plants vs. Zombies.

This week’s conversation includes the band Attack! Attack! UK, and Avault's very own Michael Moody and Patrick Watts. The guys from Attack! Attack! UK competed against thousands of other up and comers to have a melodic punk song featured in Guitar Hero 5. According to the band, the game will release around the end of September. In addition to the interview the crew explores Halo, 1 vs. 100 (there are real prizes in the offing, but would you pay to play), and Wii Fit vs. EA Active. Michael and Patrick came over to suggest titles that might wake Billy up!

This week’s conversation includes Thom Robertson, who brought us the latest information on the world of Indy games. Thom, a loyal podcast listener and industry veteran, has worked on such great games as Barbie Fashion Designer, Star Trek: Secret of Vulcan’s Fury (never released), Guardian: Agents of Justice (also never released), and Sims 2. In Thom’s opinion, “there’s never been a better time to be an Indy developer", so check out what he has to say. In addition to the interview we explore UFC, <Fallout 3: Point Lookout (a must buy), infamous (another reason to get your hands on a PS3, Tiger Woods, and Peggle (beware its addictive nature). We decided to release this week’s episode early due to the recent news of id's acquisition by Zenimax. Joining us this week is John Romero. In his first interview since Zenimax, the parent company of Bethesda Game Studios, purchased id software, John shares his thoughts on the acquisition. Does he think it's a horrible idea? Does he think id sold-out? Listen in to hear what "The Romero" had to say. We also chat about the new Tiger Woods game with Wii Motion Plus and chat about the 1 vs. 100 Beta on Xbox Live Arcade.

Chris couldn't make it in this week from Vegas, but Turks and Billy made sure to fill the gap. This week's conversation features Jessica Tams, the managing director of the Casual Games Association. Jessica came in to talk about the recent boom in casual gaming, and how they aren't just for little kids and elderly ladies any more. In addition to the interview, the guys explore UFC, Red Faction: Guerilla, Bionic Commando (according to Turks - this one is going to be skippable), and Ghostbusters (cinematic, yes, but worth sixty bucks?).
