As the final day of E3 comes to an end, Turks and Michael still have not run out of games to talk about. In this final E3 show they chat about Alan Wake, Painkiller Resurrection, Beatles: Rock Band, and Assassin's Creed 2. They each also pick two games that they feel may be under the radar but that you must play. Tune in to hear what those games are, as well as their comments on a handful of other games.

Turks and Michael are in the midst of all that is E3, and although they didn't get to see Huxley (vaporware?), they did share the scoop on the tons of games they did get their hands on. There are a few hot titles coming out for PC, but the trend for this Christmas appears to be the Xbox 360, PS3 and PSP (?). Gamersfirst.com showcased some interesting download only free-to-play titles, and while they will incorporate micro transactions, the playing field is supposed to remain level for those who don't wish to fork over real dollars. Episode 2 of our E3 podcast is packed with first hand info, so listen in NOW, and be one of the first to gain the knowledge!

Turks and Michael were finally able to sit down and give you an episode from E3. The guys discuss all the sights and sounds that they have seen throughout Day 1. Some hands-on impressions include Halo: ODST, Left 4 Dead 2, Guitar Hero: Van Halen, Uncharted 2 Multiplayer, and Wii Resort. The guys also give us a sneak peak at some "behind closed doors" games they were privy to, including Bioshock 2 Multiplayer, Borderlands, and Brink. Listen in because E3 has finally begun. Our guest this week is Kim Rom from SteelSeries (the creators of the official WoW mouse). In addition to enlightening us on the existence of 15-button mice, Kim also explained how a lot of gaming hardware comes about. In addition to the guest chat, this week’s discussion includes Infamous and how it compares to Crackdown, and peripherals. Which Podcaster beat Mass Effect? Has Chris even played it yet? Buckle up for this week’s ride an Avault first - recorded live before a studio audience (Chris even had to risk unemployment and make it to the show)! As always, the guys explore what they’ve been playing this week, including Ultimate Fighting Championship, Halo (they really need a 12-step program for this), Mass Effect, and Blue Dragon Plus. This week’s guest is Yvonna Lynn from Charisma +2 (THE video gaming booth babe business and monthly online magazine). And yes - there are booth dudes, too. If you were wondering what kind of game the #1 Booth Babe plays, it would be “anything except an RTS”.

This week the guys explore iPhone apps, Halo 3 (does Billy need a meeting?), Mirror's Edge, Left 4 Dead, and Fallout 3: Broken Steel. This week's guest is Jason Hall from the Jason Hall Show. Jason shares with us how he evolved with the gaming world from consoles to PCs and then back to consoles, and his days with Monolith. During the discussion, the subject of games to movies vs. movies to games arises, will these improve this summer? Can the content really determine if these brands survive such transitions, or is it merely a "money grab" on both sides? Tune in to Episode 30, first thing Friday morning, and find out!

Joining in this week is djWHEAT. Marcus Graham (aka djWHEAT) is the host of the popular online show Epileptic Gaming. Listen in as djWHEAT discusses how he got started in video game broadcasting. He also chats with the Podcast crew about the ongoing bias in game reviews, the never ending PC vs. Console debate, as well as “toilet gaming” and the resulting red ring. The guys tackle Bioshock (with a little controversy thrown in), Wolverine: X-Men Origins, and UFC:Undisputed 2009. Be sure to listen all the way through to hear a hilarious “rant/promo” that was recorded by our show’s producer, Angel Munoz (in zombie mode), and fortunately musically enhanced by Billy. The Podcast crew also announces the winner of last week’s giveaway and go on to announce yet another giveaway!

Interested in a job where you can play games all day? This week’s Podcast guest is Jeff Royle, from AMD, who stopped by to talk about the technical side of game development, digital distribution and the future of graphics in gaming. In addition to Hooters and beer, this week the guys explore Warhammer: Battle Hammer, iPhone apps (did you know there was one for Assassin’s Creed?), Bioshock, World of Warcraft (can you play it and walk away?), Left 4 Dead, and putting a PC in everybody’s living room. The guys have a special giveaway this week, so tune in to Episode 28 now.

After a `long little extended break` the Podcast is back!!! This week’s guest is Raph Koster from Metaplace. Virtual worlds are increasing in popularity, but are they worth the time investment? For those of you looking to explore, make sure to ask for your Metaplace beta key. In addition to the interview, the conversation includes some of their funniest content to date. The guys explore Lego Rock Band, Hasbro Family Game Night (despite what Turks thinks it’s NOT free), Fallout 3: The Pitt, rumors of Fallout small and big screen projects, Godfather II, and Killzone 2 in their weekly Adrenaline Shot (Turks has had a lot of free time of late).

Buckle up for this week’s ride! Episode 26’s Podcast guest is Jason Henderson, Games Product Manager for Verizon. Jason shares his thoughts about online gaming and discusses Verizon’s role in this segment of the industry. In addition to the interview, the guys explore lame Wii titles, why games MUST have an online component, how to get the `cool` kids to play with you on Live, and relive some of their favorite online gaming experiences from childhood. And for those of you that were holding your breath - Turks is no longer in a quandary over whether or not to purchase Resident Evil 5, in his opinion - Skip It, and play Dead Space instead.

Episode 25, our silver anniversary, is Live! The Avault Podcast crew discuss the growth and impact of casual gaming and joining them is Jesse Redniss, Vice President of Digital Strategy for USA Networks. Jesse talks about the USA Network branded games that can be found over at their Character Arcade. He shares his thoughts on the casual gaming market and the demographics of this segment of the industry. He also delves into the concept of ad supported games and how they can bring additional revenue for developers. Could casual games ultimately water down hardcore games? Find out by tuning to this week’s show.

After a sobering discussion last week about the state of the industry, this week the Avault Podcast crew enthusiastically discusses the rise of social gaming and MMOs (massively multiplayer online games). Their guest is Todd Coleman from Kingsisle. Join in as Todd discusses the details of his new MMO, Wizard 101, and what it’s like creating a game in this genre and the industry in general. He also talks about the difference between the pay structures available for the genre, micro-transactions vs. subscriptions, and what it’s like fighting the behemoth, World of Warcraft.

This week the crew engages in a serious discussion about the current challenges facing the video games industry.  Joining in on the sober conversation is Paul Jaquays, former artist for the now defunct Ensemble Studios.  Paul shares with the guys his views on the industry's challenges, and how he believes video game companies are overacting by eliminating their largest expense: people.  Paul also chats about his long career, that started in the days of Donkey Kong.  He also talks about what it was like expanding the Halo Universe with his latest project: Halo Wars.

Pete Hines and Emil Pagliarulo from Bethesda Studios return to the show this week and they sure have a lot to say. They chat about the success of Fallout 3 and the soon to be released DLC. They give their opinions on the value of video game reviews and they fill us in on some of their favorite video game stories.  They also talk about the iPhone and how excited they are about it. With the release of Halo Wars and its expansion on the Halo story the podcast crew chats about some of their favorite stories in video games and the importance that they have on the overall experience of a game.

Joining the crew this week is Derek Perez, the Director of PR for NVIDIA. Derek fills us in on why Intel has brought a lawsuit against them and why they stand behind and believe in GPU's as the future. He also chats about 3D gaming, mobile internet devices, and whether or not his CEO could win in a street fight against Intel's.  This week's voice mail is brought to us by Kenny. Kenny tells us what makes him cry himself to sleep at night as well as why he plays console games over PC games. The guys also discuss some of the best looking games to have ever come out. This week the famous female gamer Stevie Case joins the podcast guys and you'll never guess what she's up to now. Stevie discusses the concept of micro-transactions in games and explains how this could be the future of video games. She also discusses what it was like to be a pro-gamer as well as what it was like to pose for Playboy.  Overall, one of the most entertaining and animated interviews the show has had yet.

As promised Billy Mitchell (The King of Kong?) joins in on this weeks conversation. Listen in as the guys discuss just how exactly the interview came to be and hear Billy himself put down most of the questions the guys ask him. Does Billy Mitchell really have the ego of the evil Donkey Kong portrayed in The King of Kong? Listen in and decide for yourself. Speaking of egos, the guys throw around the idea of egos in the video game industry. They drop some names and discuss how these egos can even exist. There is a listener voice mail brought to us by Corey of Virginia Beach in which he discusses the death of arcades.

This weeks guest is indie developer Derek Smart from 3000AD. Derek discusses his upcoming PC and Xbox 360 (hopefully) title All Aspect Warfare. He discusses gameplay elements as well as answers a few community questions. Derek also lets the guys know why publishers suck and how they are currently destroying the industry. The guys reminisce about Golden Eye and Perfect Dark for the N64 and discuss whether or not they can hold up to the games of today. In the third chapter of the "Get to Know your Podcaster" segment Turks and Billy unload on Chris. What is Chris addicted to eating and whose names are in his little black book? Tune in because this one's great!

Billy and Chris are back from NYC after attending the SEGA East-West Showcase and they fill us in on all the games they saw. They let us know if the Wii actually has some good titles on the horizon. They also tell us about a fine German woman they met on their way down who made sure that they knew "there were good times ahead." The guys chat about the recently released Resident Evil 5 demo as well as Operation Anchorage, the Fallout 3 DLC. Is either worth playing?
